Corporate History

1969

Foundation of Sea-Land Fuel Injection Pump Co.

Sea-Land Fuel Injection Pump Co. was founded in 1969 as a specialist in diesel fuel injection pumps and precision diesel components.

From the beginning, the company focused exclusively on diesel fuel injection systems - building technical expertise in fuel injection pumps and injectors during a time when diesel technology was rapidly evolving.

This marked the start of what would become one of the region’s most established diesel fuel injection specialists.

1985

Incorporation of Sea-Land Diesel Spares & Services Pte Ltd

To support growing demand, Sea-Land Diesel Spares & Services Pte Ltd was incorporated in Singapore.

This milestone formalised our transition into a structured diesel fuel injection parts distributor and wholesaler, serving workshops, engine rebuilders, fleet operators and diesel specialists.

The incorporation strengthened our ability to manage trade supply, inventory control, and international sourcing of genuine diesel injection components.

1986

Expansion into Regional Export Markets

Sea-Land expanded its trading activities and began exporting diesel fuel injection parts across Southeast Asia and the broader region.

By developing structured export logistics and freight capabilities, we established ourselves as a regional diesel injection parts exporter, supplying trade customers beyond Singapore.

This marked our evolution from a local diesel workshop supplier into a cross-border diesel parts wholesaler.

1988

Inducted as a member of the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS)

Sealand Turbo-Diesel Asia was inducted as a member of the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS), the worldwide diesel industry’s leading trade association.

Membership in ADS reflects our commitment to professional standards, technical excellence, and ethical trade practices within the global diesel fuel injection industry.

1991

Expansion into Turbocharger Business

Sea-Land expanded its capabilities to include turbocharger systems, complementing our diesel fuel injection expertise.

By integrating turbocharger components with fuel injection systems supply, we strengthened our position as a comprehensive diesel engine parts distributor.

This expansion allowed customers to source integrated diesel engine components from a single trusted wholesaler.

1996

Relocation to 31,000 sq ft Headquarters

To support surging demand and increasing inventory volume, Sea-Land relocated to a 31,000 sq ft headquarters facility in Kian Teck Crescent, Singapore. This move enabled us to consolidate our trading, warehousing, and servicing operations, and allowed for a massive expansion in inventory which brings with it improved stock availability for our wholesale customers throughout the region.

1997

Renamed Sealand Turbo-Diesel Asia Pte Ltd (STDA)

Sea-Land was renamed Sealand Turbo-Diesel Asia Pte Ltd, reflecting our broader regional focus and expanded capabilities.

In the same year, Sealand invested in a state-of-the-art Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). This significantly enhanced inventory accuracy, storage density, order processing speed, and distribution efficiency. The investment in automated warehousing systems demonstrated our long-term commitment to structured inventory management and in technology-led systems to scale diesel parts distribution.

2014

Establishment of a New Centrally-Located Operations Facility

In 2014, Sealand Turbo-Diesel Asia established a new operations facility in Bukit Batok, strategically located near key industrial zones and major transport arteries in Singapore, with strong connectivity to Malaysia via the Tuas Checkpoint.

This move was undertaken to enhance operational efficiency and improve responsiveness to diesel workshops, fleet operators, and regional export partners across Singapore and the wider ASEAN market.

By positioning our facility closer to core industrial clusters and cross-border trade routes, Sealand strengthened its ability to provide faster order fulfilment, improved logistics coordination, and greater accessibility for trade customers, reinforcing our role as a trusted diesel fuel injection parts distributor and wholesaler in the region.
